Mendy and I have big plans to travel down to Pinehurst in just a few days to meet with the lovely Hailee Haymore and chat all things Courts & Couture. We can’t wait to grab just a few minutes with her to dream big about all the fun pickleball we are bringing to you! We usually pop into the village and head right over to the Pinehurst No. 6 Complex where Hailee can be found teaching a lesson in the heat of the summer or on a chilly February day. 

What’s so amazing about Hailee is her passion to spread her love for the sport to so many other women. It’s like once she fell in love with pickleball, she had to share it with others. But Hailee’s journey didn’t start with a paddle…

From Tennis Courts to Pickleball Stardom

In fact, she was an all-star tennis player during her high school years at Union Pines. A standout athlete who was later awarded the Tom Suiter Extra Effort Award, Hailee’s love for tennis started around the age of 12 and set the stage for all other athletic endeavors to go away. From the moment Hailee put a racket in her hand, she knew tennis was going to be her favorite sport. She played competitively from that moment on, winning championships for her high school and on into young adulthood.

But it wasn’t until she picked up a pickleball paddle that she found her true calling.

Transitioning from tennis to pickleball, Hailee quickly made a name for herself in the competitive pickleball scene. With four years of dedicated play and three years of passionate teaching, she’s now a beloved figure at Pickles and Play, bringing top-tier instruction and infectious energy to camps and lessons.

A Pro on the Rise

Hailee isn’t just a coach; she’s a fierce competitor in the pickleball world. According to Picklewave, Hailee has competed in 10 professional tournaments, participating in a total of 22 pro matches as of February 2025. Her commitment and skill in mixed and women’s doubles have made her a regular contender in 5.0+ events, and she’s swiftly climbing the ranks in the pickleball pro tour.

Joy in Every Serve

What truly sets Hailee apart is her radiant positivity.
