A Courtside Welcome

Even though the weather brought a touch of rain, it couldn’t dampen the joy that filled our time together. We began with a Courtside Welcome featuring sparkling lemonade, beautiful swag bags, and a quick mixer to help new friends connect before hitting the courts.

Our Friday clinic with pickleball pros Aimee Bonnell and Hailee Haymore was full of energy, encouragement, and skill-building – the perfect kickoff to our women’s pickleball weekend in Pinehurst.

That evening, we gathered at The Sly Fox Pub in Southern Pines for a cozy dinner to toast the start of an unforgettable weekend.

Saturday morning brought a homemade breakfast around the table at the Host House, followed by time to shop the charming boutiques and explore the village of Pinehurst. When rain arrived, we shifted our plans to The Pickle Place, where owner Katie Carpenter welcomed us for a private indoor clinic. With Aimee, Hailee, and Katie leading, the group learned new skills to improve their game – a true highlight of the weekend.

A Tuscan Evening Around the Table

That evening, we transformed our historic home into an autumn dream. Our private chef, Feliciti Krug of Chef and Moore, prepared a delightful Tuscan dinner for us. We sipped pear martinis and savored a five-star meal beneath the glow of candlelight and a fall tablescape.

It was an evening of elegance, friendship, and flavor – our reminder that delight often comes in the beautiful moments shared around the table.

Sunday morning greeted us with sunshine at last, a yogurt bar breakfast, and open play on the bright Pinehurst courts – a beautiful way to close out the weekend.

As we look ahead, we’re already dreaming of what’s next. We’ve decided to pause our spring retreat to savor the season with our families and friends, and to return refreshed for an even more spectacular Courts & Couture Fall Retreat in Pinehurst in 2026.
