Mendy and I are still floating on cloud nine after the unforgettable weekend we shared in Pinehurst just a few short weeks ago.
As we reflect on our Spring Courts & Couture Retreat, we’re overwhelmed—in the best possible way—by the stories, laughter, and genuine connection that filled the air from the moment the first paddle hit the court.
It’s nearly impossible to capture the full spirit of what happened here in words… but we’re going to try. Because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that the world needs more spaces like this one. More tables where women can pull up a chair and find community, encouragement, joy—and maybe a little sparkle.

Courts & Couture Spring Retreat Recap
At its heart, this retreat is about celebrating women—in all seasons of life. It’s about reminding each other that even in the middle of life’s curveballs and chapters we didn’t plan for, we can still find moments of rest, fun, and renewal.
We’ve learned (often the hard way) that the path we walk isn’t always easy. There are losses that knock the wind out of us. Detours we didn’t expect. But we’ve also learned to meet those moments with gentleness—to extend kindness to ourselves and to one another. And that’s why Courts & Couture exists.
Pickleball is our outlet. It’s our joyful movement, our sweaty therapy, our reset button. It’s where we get our adrenaline going while building friendships that go far beyond the baseline.

When we gather for these retreats, the courts are just the beginning. The real magic happens in the in-between—the coffee chats in cozy corners, the shared stories over cocktails, the moments of recognition between women who say, “Oh, me too.”
We talk a lot about inviting women to take “a seat at the table.” And this past weekend, the table was quite literal. The food was exquisite, the laughter came easy, and the sisterhood around the table was something we’ll carry with us for a long time.

As we watched new friendships form, confidence build on the court, and women give themselves permission to fully exhale, we couldn’t help but whisper, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” That His goodness shows up in dinks, drinks, and delightful community.
This retreat reminded us: it’s not just about the game—it’s about taking care of yourself in a world that so often demands otherwise. It’s about finding your people, feeding your soul, and letting fun back into your life.
And the best part? We get to do it again. 🎉
